Add a missing category and its transactions to a tax line
To include a spending category (A group of income and expense transactions, used to track income and spending in Money reports.) and its transactions in tax reports and the Tax Estimator, link it to a tax line.

Many of the Money default categories are automatically linked to tax lines. You can change the tax lines to which the categories are mapped, and you can map new categories you create to the correct tax lines. For a transaction to be included in tax reports and the Tax Estimator, it must be in a category that has been linked to a tax line. You can link a category to a tax line even after you’ve recorded transactions (A withdrawal, deposit or transfer of funds, or a purchase, a sale, or an exchange of a security. ) .

  1. Click Taxes, click Tax Tools, and then click Tax Line Manager.
  2. Click the tax line to which you want to add a category, click Go to Details, and then click Add.
  3. Click A category that already exists in Money and all of its transactions, and then click Next.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

All the transactions in this category are now mapped to the tax line. You can map more than one category to a tax line.
