About notifications

Notifications are a convenient way to receive electronically delivered notices about your personal finances and financial news of interest to you. You choose what you want to be notified about-when an account balance falls below a certain amount, for example-and how you want to be notified.

You can receive notifications when:

  • Your account balances go below or above an amount that you set.
  • Your selected stocks, funds, or indexes have significant price changes or events.
  • You have bills due.
  • Your favorite articles appear on MSN Money.

You can also receive newsletters about financial topics that interest you. Newsletters are always sent by e-mail.

Notifications use Windows Live Alerts to deliver notifications to your computer using Windows Live Messenger or e-mail.

Note

Because notifications are delivered using Windows Live Alerts, any changes to your notification settings must be made on the Windows Live Alerts Web site. You must sign in to MSN by using a Windows Live ID when you register for Windows Live Alerts.
