Add, edit, or delete a budget savings goal

Note: To perform this task, you must be using the Advanced Budget. To determine which budget you’re using, look for the Essential Budget, Advanced Budget, or Savings and Spending Budget label in the upper-right corner of the Budget summary page.


  1. Click Budget, and then click Budget Summary.
  2. At the bottom of the page, under Savings goals, click add a new savings goal.
  3. Under What do you want to do with unbudgeted income, click Save some or all excess income toward goals.
  4. Under Goal, type a name for the goal, under Date, select when you want to reach the goal, and under Amount, enter how much you want to save.
  5. To add more savings goals, click Add Another Goal.
  6. When you are finished adding goals, click Done.
  1. Click Budget, and then click Budget Summary.
  2. At the bottom of the page, under Savings goals, click edit your savings goals.
  3. On the Savings goals page under Assign your savings goals, do one of the following:
    • To edit the goal, click the goal name, date, or amount that you want to change, and then type the new information.
    • To delete a goal, click the goal that you want to delete, and then at the bottom of the page, click Delete Goal.
  4. Click Done.

Note

After achieving a savings goal, you can mark it as complete. To indicate that you have achieved a goal, on the Budget summary page, under Savings goals, select the Completed check box next to the goal.
