Problems with online bill payment
The following are some of the most common problems with online bill payment.

If you sent an online payment directly from Money and it didn’t arrive on time, you can find more information.
  1. At the top of the page, click Bills.
  2. In the left pane, under Common tasks, click View electronic transactions.
  3. Under Electronic payments and transfers sent in the last 60 days, click the payment you want to investigate, and then click Electronic Payment Status.
  4. To send a message to the online bill pay service that you used to send this payment, click Compose Message.

Notes

  • You may not see the Compose Message button if your payment is more than two months old, or if your bank’s online services don’t include e-mail inquiries through Money.
  • For payments you made through your bank’s Web site, sign in to that Web site or contact your bank to request more information. To learn more, see the related topics below.
  • To ensure that future payments will arrive on time, set up the bill for an earlier payment date.

In order to pay a bill online, you must have an account that allows online transactions. Contact your bank to find out if it offers both online statements and bill payment through Money. If it does, sign up with the bank for the new service, and then set up your account in Money to use online bill payment and online statements. To learn more, see the related topics below.

If your bank doesn’t offer online bill payment, you may be able to sign up for online bill payment through another provider.

In Money, you can’t use online bill payment to pay bills that must be accompanied by an official form, such as tax payments or court-directed payments. All other bills can be paid online, even if the recipient isn’t a business.
